- sugar - 1 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- salt
- nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- shortening - 3/4 c
- unsifted flour - 2 c
- molasses - 1/4 c
- ginger
- cloves - 1/2 tsp
How to make gingersnap cookies:
Cream sugar and shortening. Add egg and molasses. Sift flour, soda, salt and spices; add to creamed mixture. Roll in balls the size of a teaspoon; dip in sugar. Place on a cookie sheet, 3 inches apart. Bake at 375° for 8 to 10 minutes.Recipe categories: Desserts, Drop cookies, Cookie and brownie.
