Ingredients/Components

  • cinnamon - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • flour - 2 c
  • soda - 2 tsp
  • shortening - 3/4 c
  • molasses - 4 Tbsp
  • ginger - 1 tsp
  • cloves - 1/2 tsp
  • white sugar - 1 c
  • egg, beaten - 1 item

How to make gingersnap cookies:

Combine shortening and sugar. Mix well. Add molasses and egg. Combine dry ingredients. Add to shortening mixture. Make into balls the size of a walnut. Dip in sugar and bake in a 350° oven for 8 to 10 minutes.
