Ingredients/Components
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour
- brown sugar - 1 c
- soda - 2 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- shortening - 3/4 c
- molasses - 1/4 c
- ginger - 1 tsp
- cloves - 1/2 tsp
How to make gingersnap cookies:
Cream together first 4 ingredients until fluffy. Sift together dry ingredients; stir into molasses mixture. Form into 1-inch balls. Roll in granulated sugar. Place 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375° for 10 minutes. Cool slightly and remove from pan. Makes 5 dozen.Recipe categories: Desserts, Drop cookies, Cookie and brownie.
