Chocolate nut meringues
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- vanilla - 1/2 tsp
- salt - 1/8 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1/2 c
- egg whites - 3 item
- cream of tartar - 1/8 tsp
- chocolate bits - 2 c
How to make chocolate nut meringues:
Beat egg whites with salt and cream of tartar until foamy. Add sugar gradually; beat until stiff peaks form. Fold in vanilla, chocolate bits and nuts. Put 1/2 teaspoon in mini paper cups, or drop onto greased cookie sheet. Bake in a 275° oven for 40 minutes. Leave in oven to cool.Recipe categories: Desserts, Drop cookies, Cookie and brownie.
