French toast casserole
Ingredients/Components
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- milk
- butter or margarine - 1/4 c
- light brown sugar - 1 c
- eggs, well beaten - 6 item
- slices firm white bread - 12 item
How to make french toast casserole:
Melt butter in 13 x 9-inch baking dish. (Be sure the butter coats the bottom corners of baking dish.) Stir in brown sugar and cinnamon. Place bread slices in double layer (one slice directly on top of each other) over sugar mixture. Beat eggs and milk together. Pour over bread slices. Cover and let stand overnight in fridge.In the morning, uncover and bake in a preheated oven at 350° for 45 minutes. Cut into servings the size of slice and invert on plate to serve.
