Fish chowder
Ingredients/Components
- half and half - 2 c
- milk - 1 c
- butter - 1/4 c
- water - 2 c
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- diced salt pork - 1/4 c
- large potatoes, pared and cubed - 4 item
- medium size onions, diced - 3 item
- skinless scrod or cod fillets - 2 lb
How to make fish chowder:
Saute salt pork and onions in large pan. Add potatoes and 1 cup water. Simmer 5 minutes or until potatoes are tender. Place fish on top of potatoes and onions. Add remaining cup of water. Simmer until fish flakes easily when touched with a fork. Add half and half and milk. Stir in butter, salt and pepper.
