Ingredients/Components
- water - 3 c
- margarine - 1/2 c
- small onion, diced - 1 item
- half & half - 3 c
- salt & pepper to taste - 1 item
- salt pork, diced - 1/2 c
- pollock - 1 lb
- med potatoes, peeled & diced - 4 item
- fish bouillon cubes - 3 item
How to make fish chowder:
Saut?© onion and salt pork in margarine until onions are translucent; add potatoes, pollock, water, bouillon cubes, salt and pepper to onion mixture and simmer until potatoes are tender; stir in half & half; heat thoroughly.Note: A sprinkle of paprika on the top makes this attractive when serving. You may substitute haddock or your favorite catch of the day if you prefer.
