  • cinnamon - 1 tsp
  • eggs - 3 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • cornstarch - 2 Tbsp
  • nutmeg - 1 tsp
  • buttermilk - 1 c
  • cooking oil - 1 c
  • pecans
  • cloves - 1/2 tsp
  • flour self-rising - 3 c
  • figs, whole or mashed - 1 qt

How to make fig preserves cake:

Sift flour, cornstarch and spices in a large mixing bowl. Pour in buttermilk and beat well. Stir in figs, nuts and vanilla. Mix well. Bake in loaf pan or Bundt pan at 325° for 45 minutes.
