Lemon pound cake



  • sugar - 3 c
  • eggs - 5 item
  • plain flour - 3 c
  • Crisco shortening - 1/2 c
  • sticks butter, softened - 2 item
  • can 7-Up - 1 item
  • pure lemon extract - 1 tsp

How to make lemon pound cake:

Cream together butter, Crisco and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time. Add lemon extract. Add flour and 7-Up alternately. Bake in greased and floured tube pan at 300° for 1 1/2 hours or until done.
