- sugar - 3 c
- eggs - 5 item
- plain flour - 3 c
- Crisco shortening - 1/2 c
- sticks butter, softened - 2 item
- can 7-Up - 1 item
- pure lemon extract - 1 tsp
How to make lemon pound cake:
Cream together butter, Crisco and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time. Add lemon extract. Add flour and 7-Up alternately. Bake in greased and floured tube pan at 300° for 1 1/2 hours or until done.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Weeknight.
