Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 3 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk
- butter - 3 Tbsp
- nutmeg - 1 item
- white sugar - 3/4 c
How to make egg custard pie:
Mix butter and milk together in medium saucepan. Heat to scalding. Beat eggs slightly and add sugar and vanilla. Stir into the milk and strain into a 9-inch pie pan. Sprinkle with nutmeg. Bake at 425° for 10 minutes. Turn oven temperature down to 375° and continue baking for an additional 10 minutes.
