Ingredients/Components

  • sweet potatoes, cooked and mashed - 2 c
  • softened margarine - 2 Tbsp
  • egg - 1 item
  • sugar - 3/4 c
  • flour - 1 Tbsp
  • salt - 1/8 tsp
  • soda - 1/8 tsp
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • buttermilk - 1/2 c
  • 9-inch unbaked pie shell - 1 item
  • whipped topping for garnish - 1 item

How to make sweet potato pie:

Combine first 9 ingredients and pour into unbaked pie shell. Bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes or until firm. Serve with whipped topping, if desired.
