Egg custard pie



  • sugar - 1 c
  • milk - 2 c
  • vanilla extract - 1 tsp
  • pinch of salt - 1 item
  • eggs, well beaten - 4 item
  • 9-inch unbaked pastry shell - 1 item

How to make egg custard pie:

Combine eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla, and salt; mix well. Pour into pastry shell; bake at 425° for 30 to 40 minutes or until a knife inserted halfway between center and edge comes out clean. Serve slightly warm or cold.

Note: The center of the pie may not be firm when first removed from oven, but it will firm up when cooled. Over cooking will make custard watery.
