Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- milk - 2 c
- vanilla extract - 1 tsp
- pinch of salt - 1 item
- eggs, well beaten - 4 item
- 9-inch unbaked pastry shell - 1 item
How to make egg custard pie:
Combine eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla, and salt; mix well. Pour into pastry shell; bake at 425° for 30 to 40 minutes or until a knife inserted halfway between center and edge comes out clean. Serve slightly warm or cold.Note: The center of the pie may not be firm when first removed from oven, but it will firm up when cooled. Over cooking will make custard watery.
