  • flour - 1/4 c
  • butter - 1/4 c
  • hard-boiled eggs, sliced - 18 item
  • sharp cheese - 1 lb
  • bacon, fried crisp and crumbled
  • whole milk or half and half - 2 c

How to make egg casserole:

Make a white sauce of butter, flour and milk; add cheese. Season with 1/4 teaspoon each of thyme, marjoram and basil. Make 3 layers of egg, bacon and sauce. Sprinkle snipped parsley over top. Cover with buttered crumbs. Bake for 1/2 hour at 350° or until bubbly.
