Crunchy chicken casserole
Ingredients/Components
- chopped celery - 1 c
- oleo - 1 Tbsp
- cubed chicken - 2 c
- cooked rice
- can condensed cream of chicken soup undiluted - 1 item
- mayonnaise - 3/4 c
- can sliced water chestnuts, drained - 1 item
- sliced almonds - 1/2 c
- chopped onion - 2 Tbsp
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- sliced almonds or crushed cornflakes
- oleo, melted - 1 Tbsp
How to make crunchy chicken casserole:
Topping:1/2 c. sliced almonds or crushed cornflakes1 Tbsp. oleo, melted Saute celery and onion until tender. Add remaining ingredients. Spoon into 2-quart baking dish. Sprinkle with topping. Bake, uncovered, in a 350° oven for 30 minutes.Recipe categories: Chicken, Main dish, Casseroles.
