Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1/2 c
- flour - 1 Tbsp
- butter - 2 Tbsp
- dried beef - 1 lb
- cream heavy cream - 1/2 c
How to make creamed chipped beef:
Soak beef in cold water 15 minutes (drain). Pick into thin pieces. Melt 1 tablespoon butter in pan. Put in beef and brown. Add milk and cream. Bring to boil; thicken with flour, mixed to a smooth paste with balance of butter (1 tablespoon). Stir constantly until it boils. Serve over toast.
