Ingredients/Components

  • cooked chicken, diced
  • chicken broth
  • butter - 2 Tbsp
  • onion, chopped
  • celery, chopped - 1/2 c
  • flour - 1/4 c
  • milk - 1/2 c
  • salt to taste - 1 item
  • Add flour to onion and celery
  • baking powder - 4 tsp
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • shortening - 4 Tbsp

How to make creamed chicken and biscuits:

Saute chopped onion and celery in butter until tender. Add flour to onion and celery. Slowly add chicken broth and milk. Cook to smooth paste, stirring constantly. Add chicken and salt.Biscuits:2 c. flour4 tsp. baking powder1/2 tsp. salt4 Tbsp. shortening1 c. milk Mix all ingredients together and drop on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 400° for 20 minutes. Serves 2 to 3.
