Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1 c
- salt
- flour - 1/4 c
- butter - 3 Tbsp
- cold water - 3 Tbsp
- baking powder - 3/4 tsp
- shortening - 1/3 c
- pepper - 1/8 tsp
- can cream of chicken soup - 1 item
- chicken broth - 1 c
- diced, cooked chicken - 2 c
- poultry seasoning - 1/4 tsp
- peas and carrots - 1 c
- Add broth, milk and seasoning
How to make chicken pot pie:
Melt butter in saucepan, blend in flour. Add broth, milk and seasoning. Cook, stirring constantly until thick. Add chicken and vegetables and heat.Pastry:1 c. flour3/4 tsp. baking powder1/3 c. shortening3 Tbsp. cold water1/2 tsp. salt Roll thin when dough is stiff. Shape a bottom crust to fit pan.
