Chicken tetrazzini
Ingredients/Components
- pkg - 1 oz
- butter or margarine - 2 Tbsp
- chicken broth - 2 c
- grated Cheddar cheese - 3 Tbsp
- medium onion, chopped - 1 item
- celery, chopped - 1 c
- cooked chicken, diced - 3 c
- can mushrooms optional - 1 oz
- 1/2 cans cream of mushroom soup - 1 item
- medium green pepper, chopped or 1 small jar pimentos - 1 item
How to make chicken tetrazzini:
Saute celery, green pepper and onion in butter until tender and golden brown; set aside. Heat chicken in broth and add mushroom soup, mushrooms and sauteed mixture. Grease a 9 x 14-inch Pyrex dish. Put half of spaghetti in the bottom of the dish, then half of the chicken mixture. Repeat layers. Top with grated cheese.
