Cream of broccoli soup
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 1/4 c
- pepper to taste - 1 item
- medium onion, chopped - 1 item
- frozen chopped broccoli - 1 pkg
- vegetable cooking liquid plus milk enough to make 3 c - 3 c
- dried cheese sharp or Velveeta - 1 c
How to make cream of broccoli soup:
Cook broccoli; drain and save liquid. Saute onions in margarine (1 tablespoon). Mix flour with milk in shaker and shake well. Stir while cooking over medium heat until sauce thickens. Add cheese and stir until it melts. Add rest of ingredients: liquid, milk, salt, pepper and broccoli. Cook until heated through. This recipe may be doubled or tripled.
