Ingredients/Components

  • flour - 2 Tbsp
  • butter - 1/4 lb
  • water - 2 c
  • chopped green onions - 1/2 c
  • small bay leaf - 1 item
  • buttered bread crumbs - 1 item
  • crab meat - 3 c
  • salt and red pepper to taste - 1 item
  • heaping finely chopped parsley - 1 Tbsp

How to make crab meat casserole:

Melt butter over low heat; blend in flour. Add onions; cook until tender. Add water, bay leaf, salt, red pepper and parsley. Boil until mixture is consistency of thick soup. Fold in crab meat; put in greased casserole. Top with bread crumbs. Bake at 350° to 400° for 15 to 20 minutes or until brown.
