Corn relish
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3 c
- salt - 3 Tbsp
- water - 1 pt
- vinegar - 2 pt
- dry mustard
- medium onions - 6 item
- green peppers - 2 item
- turmeric - 2 tsp
- bunch celery - 1/2 item
- red peppers - 2 item
- ears corn - 1 doz
- large about 7-inch diameter head cabbage - 1 item
How to make corn relish:
Cut corn off cobs. Grind cabbage, onions, peppers and celery. Mix all ingredients together. Let stand overnight (or at least 2 hours). Boil until tender. When done, thicken with a little cornstarch (mixed with a little water). Makes about 8Recipe categories: < 60 mins, Vegetables, Corn.
