Corn relish
Ingredients/Components
- whole kernel corn - 8 c
- chopped celery - 4 c
- chopped onion - 1 c
- chopped green pepper - 2 c
- chopped sweet red pepper - 2 c
- vinegar - 2 c
- sugar - 2 c
- water
- celery seed - 2 tsp
- salt - 2 Tbsp
- all-purpose wheat flour - 1/4 c
- dry mustard - 2 Tbsp
- turmeric - 1 tsp
How to make corn relish:
Combine celery, both peppers and onions. Add vinegar, sugar, 2 cups water, celery seed and salt. Bring this mixture to a boil and simmer 5 to 6 minutes. Blend flour, dry mustard and turmeric in 1/2 cup cool water. Add this mixture and corn to the batcRecipe categories: < 60 mins, Vegetables, Corn.
