- milk - 2 c
- butter or margarine - 2 Tbsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- all-purpose flour - 3 Tbsp
- grated Parmesan cheese - 1/4 c
- finely chopped onion - 1/2 c
- white pepper - 1/8 tsp
- melted butter or margarine - 2 Tbsp
- dash of nutmeg - 1 item
- grated Swiss cheese - 1/4 c
- broccoli, cut into 2-inch flowerets - 1 bunch
- fine dry white bread crumbs - 1/4 c
How to make broccoli with mornay sauce:
Cook broccoli in boiling, salted water for 5 minutes or until almost tender. Refresh under cold water. Drain well. In medium saucepan, saute onion in butter 3 minutes. Add flour.
