- milk - 3/4 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- baking powder
- vegetable oil - 1 item
- shortening - 3 Tbsp
- all-purpose flour - 1 c
- egg, beaten - 1 item
- cornmeal - 2 tsp
- frankfurters - 1 lb
- medium onion, grated - 1 item
How to make corn dogs:
Pat frankfurters dry with paper towel. Heat oil 2 to 3 minutes to 365°. Mix flour, cornmeal, baking powder and salt. Cut in shortening. Stir in remaining ingredients. Dip frankfurters into batter, allowing excess batter to drain in bowl. Fry,Recipe categories: Lunch/snacks, < 30 mins, Kid Friendly.
