Ingredients/Components

  • oil - 3 Tbsp
  • Worcestershire sauce - 1 item
  • garlic salt - 1 item
  • chili sauce - 14 oz
  • salt and pepper - 1 item
  • Tabasco sauce - 1 item
  • roast chuck, round or sirloin tip - 4 lb
  • small bottle Coca-Cola - 1 item

How to make coke roast:

Score roast in several places. Fill each slit with salt, pepper and garlic salt. Sear roast on all sides in oil. Remove. Drain or blot fat from roast.

Place roast in foil-lined pan. Pour Coke and chili sauce over roast, then Worcestershire and Tabasco sauce. Cover loosely with foil and bake 3 hours in a 325° oven. It will have a barbecued flavor and tastes good the next day, too.
