Classic lasagna
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- garlic powder - 1/2 tsp
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- Worcestershire sauce - 1 Tbsp
- chopped onion - 1 c
- ground beef - 1 lb
- oregano - 1 tsp
- can tomato paste - 1 oz
- parsley - 1 tsp
- tomato juice - 4 c
- Mozzarella cheese - 2 c
- fresh mushrooms - 8 oz
- noodles - 1 item
- Parmesan
- carton Ricotta or cottage cheese - 1 item
How to make classic lasagna:
In large skillet, brown beef, onion and garlic. Drain. Stir in tomato juice, mushrooms, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce and spices. In 9 x 13-inch dish, layer noodles. Cover with half of sauce and cheeses. Repeat layer and cover with remaining sauce and cheeses. Cover with foil. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes. Remove foil and bake 15 more minutes.
