Ingredients/Components

  • salt - 1 tsp
  • eggs, beaten - 2 item
  • grated Parmesan cheese - 1 c
  • olive oil - 2 tsp
  • lean ground beef - 1 lb
  • container Ricotta cheese - 1 (15
  • grated Mozzarella cheese - 2 c
  • lasagna noodles - 9 item
  • Parmesan cheese for topping - 1/2 c
  • fresh basil or 1 Tbsp - 2 Tbsp
  • fresh garlic cloves, minced - 4 item
  • fresh oregano or 1 Tbsp - 2 Tbsp

How to make classic lasagna:

Cook lasagna noodles in boiling water with olive oil and salt until tender; drain. Brown ground beef with garlic, basil and oregano; drain off any grease and set aside.

Combine eggs and cheeses together in a bowl. Layer bottom of baking dish with 3 noodles. Spoon 1/3 of cheese mixture onto noodles and spread evenly. Spoon 1/3 of meat onto cheese and spread evenly. Repeat this layering for 2 more layers. Sprinkle with remaining 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese. Bake at 350° for 1 hour. Serves 8.
