Chop suey
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 item
- molasses - 1 Tbsp
- can mushrooms - 1 item
- stalks celery, chopped - 4 item
- can tomatoes - 1 item
- Worcestershire - 2 Tbsp
- beef, cubed - 1/2 lb
- strips bacon, diced - 5 item
- veal, cubed - 1/2 lb
- green peppers, cubed - 3 item
- large onions, cubed - 3 item
- can chop suey vegetables large - 1 item
How to make chop suey:
Fry meat and bacon; add onions and green pepper. Fry until brown (lightly). Add celery, tomatoes, salt to taste and enough water to cover. Let simmer until meat is almost done. Add suey vegetables, molasses, Worcestershire sauce and mushrooms, cut fine. Cook 1 hour; thicken slightly (cornstarch and water).Recipe categories: < 4 hours, Time to make, Main dish.
