Chop suey
Ingredients/Components
- cornstarch - 3 4
- cold water - 1 c
- Worcestershire sauce - 1 Tbsp
- garlic salt - 1 tsp
- can bean sprouts - 1 item
- large onion, sliced thin - 1 item
- stew beef, sliced very thin easier to slice when 1/2 frozen
- stalk celery, sliced very thin crosswise - 1/2 item
- large bell pepper, sliced thin - 1 item
- soy sauce and pepper to taste - 1 item
How to make chop suey:
Cook meat almost tender. Add soy sauce and other seasonings and a small amount of water while cooking. When meat is tender, add onions, celery and green pepper and thicken to desired thickness with cornstarch mixed with 1 cup of cold water. Simmer only a few minutes. Add bean sprouts.
