Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 1/3 c
  • eggs - 2 item
  • milk - 2/3 c
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • flour - 2 c
  • baking powder - 4 tsp
  • Crisco - 1/4 c

How to make sally lunn bread:

Blend Crisco, sugar and eggs. Mix dry ingredients and add alternately with milk. Place in 9-inch square pan which has been rubbed with Crisco and bake in hot oven at 400° about 25 minutes. Makes 18 pieces.
