Chili con queso
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- chili powder - 1 tsp
- onion, chopped - 1 item
- green peppers, diced - 2 item
- can diced green chilies - 1 oz
- shortening or oil - 2 Tbsp
- canned tomatoes, chopped undrained - 1 c
- grated Old English brand or Velveeta brand cheese - 2 c
How to make chili con queso:
Saute peppers and onion in shortening. Stir continuously while adding tomatoes; cook five minutes. Add green chilies, salt, chili powder and cheese. Cook on low heat until cheese is melted.
