Chili con queso
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- shortening - 1 Tbsp
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- chopped onion - 1 c
- sharp cheese, grated - 1 lb
- jalapenos to taste - 1 item
- fresh or canned tomatoes, drained and chopped
How to make chili con queso:
Saute onion in shortening until transparent. Add drained tomatoes and spices. Stir in cheese and continue to cook over low heat until mixture is well blended. This dip must be served quite hot. Serve with nacho chips.Recipe categories: Lunch/snacks, Appetizers, Dips.
