Hamburger casserole
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- water - 1 c
- shortening - 1 Tbsp
- pepper - 1/8 tsp
- Worcestershire sauce - 1 tsp
- chopped onion - 2 Tbsp
- chopped green pepper - 2 Tbsp
- grated cheese - 1/2 c
- hamburger - 3/4 lb
- can golden mushroom soup - 1 1/2
- cooked macaroni - 2 c
How to make hamburger casserole:
Cook onion and green pepper in shortening until onion is transparent. Add hamburger, salt and pepper. Cook until meat is lightly browned. Remove from heat and drain. Arrange layers of meat mixture and macaroni in a 2 1/2-quart casserole dish. Mix mushroom soup with water. Add Worcestershire sauce. Pour mixture over meat and macaroni. Top with grated cheese.
