Chicken with 40 cloves of garlic
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- water - 1/4 c
- margarine - 2 Tbsp
- lemon juice - 2 Tbsp
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- olive oil - 1 Tbsp
- chicken, cut up - 1 item
- dried thyme - 1/2 tsp
- cloves garlic, unpeeled - 40 item
How to make chicken with 40 cloves of garlic:
Preheat oven to 350°. In large Dutch oven, melt margarine in oil. Add cut-up chicken, turning until golden (5 to 10 minutes). Tilt pan and spoon off all but 2 tablespoons fat. Add garlic and stir. Sprinkle with lemon, thyme, salt, pepper and water. Cover tightly and bake 1 1/2 hours. Makes 4 servings.Recipe categories: Chicken, Main dish, Whole chicken.
