Chicken tacos
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 1 Tbsp
- butter - 1 Tbsp
- oil - 1 Tbsp
- garlic powder - 1/2 tsp
- onion powder - 1/2 tsp
- corn tortillas - 1 item
- cumin powder - 1 tsp
- cayenne powder - 1/4 tsp
- crushed thyme - 1 tsp
- to 4 skinned half chicken breasts - 3 item
How to make chicken tacos:
Blend all spices with the flour. Rub spice blend into boned, skinned breasts. Let chicken sit at room temperature for 20 minutes. Cut into pieces.Heat butter and oil in a heavy skillet. Saute chicken over medium heat until cooked. Drain chicken of excess oil and put into cooked corn tortillas with chopped onion, shredded Monterey Jack cheese and green tomatillo salsa.
For spicy tacos, saute 1 to 2 chopped garlic cloves and 1 to 2 minced, seeded jalapeno chiles in the oil and butter, then add chicken and cook.
