Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- buttermilk - 1 c
- self-rising flour - 1 c
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- can cream of chicken soup - 1 item
- chicken broth - 2 c
- stick margarine, melted - 1 item
- fryer - 1 item
How to make chicken pie:
Cook chicken until tender. Remove meat from bones. Reserve broth. Cut chicken in small pieces and place in 9 x 13-inch pan.In a saucepan, bring to a boil the broth and soup. In another bowl, combine flour, salt, pepper, buttermilk and margarine. Mix thoroughly to form batter. Pour broth mixture over chicken. Spoon batter over top. Bake at 425° for 25 to 30 minutes.
