  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • flour - 1/4 c
  • cold milk - 1/4 c
  • cream - 2/3 c
  • salad oil - 1/2 c
  • pepper - 1/4 tsp
  • chicken broth - 1/2 c
  • cut up cooked chicken - 2 c
  • recipe pastry - 1 item
  • butter, oleo or chicken fat - 1/4 c
  • Divide pastry into 2 parts

How to make chicken pie:

Heat oven to 450°. Divide pastry into 2 parts. Line a 10 x 6 x 2-inch pan with 1 part of the pastry. Melt butter; add flour and seasonings. Let bubble. Add liquid and cook slowly until thickened. Add chicken; pour into pan. Top with rest of pastry. Bake 35 minutes.Pastry:2 c. flour1 1/2 tsp. salt1/2 c. salad oil1/4 c. cold milk Mix and roll out on floured surface (in 2 parts).
