Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 1/4 c
- cold milk - 1/4 c
- cream - 2/3 c
- salad oil - 1/2 c
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- chicken broth - 1/2 c
- cut up cooked chicken - 2 c
- recipe pastry - 1 item
- butter, oleo or chicken fat - 1/4 c
- Divide pastry into 2 parts
How to make chicken pie:
Heat oven to 450°. Divide pastry into 2 parts. Line a 10 x 6 x 2-inch pan with 1 part of the pastry. Melt butter; add flour and seasonings. Let bubble. Add liquid and cook slowly until thickened. Add chicken; pour into pan. Top with rest of pastry.
