  • flour - 3 Tbsp
  • cold water - 8 Tbsp
  • cooking oil - 8 Tbsp
  • plain flour
  • margarine - 3 Tbsp
  • can cream of mushroom or cream of chicken soup - 1 item
  • can mixed vegetables - 1 item
  • chicken, cut into pieces - 1 item

How to make chicken pie:

Crust:2 c. plain flour8 Tbsp. cooking oil8 Tbsp. cold water Crust: Sift flour into bowl. Add water and oil. Make dough and roll out.

Cook mixed vegetables about 15 minutes; drain liquid. Boil chicken, then remove from bone. Save the stock. Saute onion in margarine; add flour slowly (will make a thick paste). Add 1 1/2 cups broth and soup; mix well. Add drained vegetables and chicken. Season to taste with salt and pepper and garlic salt. Pour into casserole. Cover with crust and poke holes in crust. Bake at 400° for 20 to 30 minutes or until brown.
