Baked chocolate pudding
Ingredients/Components
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- packed brown sugar - 1/2 c
- milk - 1/2 c
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1/2 c
- flour - 1 c
- cold water
- 1 oz - 1 sq
- baking powder - 2 tsp
- margarine - 2 Tbsp
- sugar, divided
- whipped cream optional - 1 item
- baking cocoa - 1 tsp
How to make baked chocolate pudding:
In a mixing bowl, sift flour, 3/4 cup sugar, baking powder and salt. Add milk, butter, vanilla, chocolate and nuts; mix well. Pour batter into an ungreased 9-inch square baking dish.Combine brown sugar, cocoa and remaining sugar; sprinkle over batter. Pour cold water over all; do not stir. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. (The cake will rise to the top and the pudding is on the bottom) Serve warm with whipped cream, if desired. Yield: 9.
