Chicken parmigiana
Ingredients/Components
- egg, beaten - 1 item
- garlic powder - 1/2 tsp
- grated Parmesan cheese - 2 Tbsp
- Italian seasoning - 3/4 tsp
- shredded Mozzarella cheese - 3/4 c
- tomato sauce - 1 can
- dry bread crumbs - 1/3 c
- boneless, skinless chicken breasts - 1 lb
How to make chicken parmigiana:
Combine first 4 ingredients in a shallow bowl. Dip each chicken breast in beaten egg, then roll in bread crumb mixture to evenly coat. Place chicken on a cookie sheet or jelly roll pan. Bake in preheated 375° oven 10 minutes. Turn chicken over; bake 10 to 12 minutes or until chicken is thoroughly cooked.Spoon tomato sauce over chicken. Sprinkle cheese over top. Bake 3 minutes or until cheese is melted. Makes 4 servings.
