Chicken parmigiana
Ingredients/Components
- egg, beaten - 1 item
- garlic powder - 1/2 tsp
- grated Parmesan cheese - 2 Tbsp
- can tomato sauce - 1 oz
- Mozzarella cheese, shredded - 3/4 c
- boneless, skinless chicken breasts - 1 lb
- dry Italian bread crumbs - 1/3 c
- Italian seasoning McCormick - 3/4 tsp
How to make chicken parmigiana:
Combine first 4 ingredients in a shallow bowl. Dip each chicken breast in beaten egg, then roll in bread crumb mixture to coat evenly. Place chicken on a cookie sheet or jelly roll pan. Bake in preheated 375° oven for 15 minutes. Turn chicken over. Bake 15 minutes or until chicken is thoroughly cooked. Spoon tomato sauce over chicken. Sprinkle cheese over top.
