Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- milk - 2 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 1 item
- baking powder - 1 Tbsp
- whole egg - 1 item
- to 3/4-inch thick round steak, tenderized and cut in 5 to 6-inch diameter - 1/2 item
How to make chicken fried steak:
Batter:3 tsp. sugar1/2 tsp. salt1 whole egg1 Tbsp. baking powder2 c. milk Flour each piece of round steak; shake off excess. Dip in batter and drain. Flour again and shake off excess. Use deep fryer filled 1/2 full of cooking oil at 350° for 7 to 10 minutes or until golden brown.Batter: Mix first 4 ingredients with half of milk and stir until smooth. Add remaining milk and enough flour to make batter.
