Chicken flautas
Ingredients/Components
- vegetable oil - 1 item
- shredded Cheddar cheese - 2 c
- ground cumin - 3/4 tsp
- corn tortillas - 32 item
- picante sauce - 2/3 c
- green onion slices - 1/4 c
- guacamole - 1 item
- cooked shredded chicken - 2 c
How to make chicken flautas:
Combine chicken, picante sauce, onion and cumin; mix well. Heat 1/2-inch oil in skillet until hot. Quickly fry each tortilla in oil to soften, about 2 seconds on each side. Drain on paper towels. Spoon 1 tablespoon of chicken mixture and 1 tablespoon cheese down center of each tortilla. Roll tightly; secure with wooden pick. Place seam-side down on baking sheet. Bake at 400° for 10 to 20 minutes or until crisp. Serve warm with guacamole. Makes 32 appetizers.Recipe categories: Chicken, Main dish, Poultry.
