Chicken and dumplings
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 1 item
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- margarine - 6 Tbsp
- hot water - 1/2 c
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- chicken - 1 item
How to make chicken and dumplings:
Boil chicken in water until done. Cool. Remove from bones and return meat to broth. Reheat to boiling. Mix margarine, salt, pepper and baking powder in mixing bowl. Add hot water. Stir until margarine is melted and other ingredients dissolve. Add flour until dough is stiff. Roll out thin on floured board. Cut into strips and add to boiling chicken broth.
