- sour cream - 1 (8
- stick margarine - 1 item
- can cream of chicken soup - 1 item
- can cream of mushroom soup - 1 item
- sleeve Ritz crackers - 1 item
- whole chicken, cut up and skinned - 1 item
How to make chicken casserole:
Boil the chicken until done. Debone and place in a large bowl. Add both cans of soup and sour cream; mix well. Put in a casserole dish. Crumble up the entire sleeve of crackers and sprinkle on top of the chicken mixture. Melt 1 stick of margarine and pour over the top of the crackers. Bake in a 350° preheated oven until bubbly. Throw together your favorite green salad, add some rolls and you have a quick meal. Cream of celery or onion soup may be used as the soup.Patritia Roberson Jones sends the same recipe but used 6 chicken breasts and only 1 can soup along with almonds, just for a variation.
