Ingredients/Components
- pkg - 2 1/2
- milk - 1 c
- flour - 3 Tbsp
- sticks butter or oleo - 2 item
- chopped onions - 3 item
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- chicken - 4 lb
- cans cream of mushroom soup - 2 item
- large can sliced mushrooms - 1 item
- sharp grated Cheddar cheese - 1 lb
How to make chicken casserole:
Boil chicken and shred. Cook rice as package directs.Sauce: Blend onions in butter. Blend in flour, soup and milk. Add mushrooms and seasonings.
Layer chicken, rice, cheese and sauce in a large baking pan. Bake at 350° until hot and bubbly (45 minutes to 1 hour). Serves 8 to 10 generously.
