Chicken and wild rice salad
Ingredients/Components
- dry mustard - 1/4 tsp
- mayonnaise - 1/2 c
- chopped celery optional - 1/2 c
- water chestnuts optional - 1/2 c
- artichoke hearts optional - 1/2 c
- cooked and diced chicken meat - 1 c
- cooked wild rice Rice-A-Roni long grain - 1 c
- vinegar wine or flavored-good - 2 Tbsp
- onion, finely diced optional - 1/4 c
- avocado or croutons garnish - 1 item
How to make chicken and wild rice salad:
Toss chopped, cooked chicken with the cooked wild rice. Add any of the optional ingredients, then mix in the mayonnaise, mustard and vinegar. Chill. May be served on lettuce or sprouts. Garnishes of avocado and croutons may be added at time of serRecipe categories: Lunch/snacks, Salads, Rice.
