Chicken and dumplings
Ingredients/Components
- water - 1 c
- biscuit mix
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- cans chicken broth - 2 1/2
- parsley flakes - 1/2 tsp
- chicken - 4 breasts
- poultry seasoning - 1 tsp
- water or skim milk - 1/2 c
How to make chicken and dumplings:
Dumplings:1 c. biscuit mix1/2 c. water or skim milk Cook chicken breasts. Cool and then cut up. Add to the chicken broth and water. Add poultry seasoning, pepper and parsley. Let simmer.Dumplings: Add water or milk to biscuit mix. You can either roll it to 1/4-inch thickness and cut into squares or drop by teaspoonful into hot broth. Let simmer for 20 to 30 minutes. Serves 4.
