Chicken and dumplings



  • water - 1 c
  • biscuit mix
  • pepper - 1/4 tsp
  • cans chicken broth - 2 1/2
  • parsley flakes - 1/2 tsp
  • chicken - 4 breasts
  • poultry seasoning - 1 tsp
  • water or skim milk - 1/2 c

How to make chicken and dumplings:

Dumplings:1 c. biscuit mix1/2 c. water or skim milk Cook chicken breasts. Cool and then cut up. Add to the chicken broth and water. Add poultry seasoning, pepper and parsley. Let simmer.

Dumplings: Add water or milk to biscuit mix. You can either roll it to 1/4-inch thickness and cut into squares or drop by teaspoonful into hot broth. Let simmer for 20 to 30 minutes. Serves 4.
