- buttermilk - 3/4 1
- baking soda - 1/4 tsp
- self-rising flour - 2 c
- Crisco - 8 Tbsp
- chicken, cooked, deboned and shredded - 1 item
How to make chicken and dumplings:
Cut flour, Crisco and baking soda in mixing bowl until it resembles cornmeal. Add milk; roll out on floured board and cut into strips. Let dry for 30 minutes before placing over your boiled and deboned chicken. Cook for 20 minutes without taking the lid off the pan.Recipe categories: Chicken, Main dish, Whole chicken.
