  • pkg - 1 oz
  • salt - 3/4 tsp
  • water - 3 c
  • margarine - 1/2 c
  • grated sharp Cheddar cheese - 1/4 c
  • uncooked grits - 1 c

How to make cheese grits:

Mix together salt, grits and water. Cook for 5 minutes. Add both kinds of cheese and the margarine, mixing well. While still hot, place in casserole. This much can be done a day ahead and refrigerated to bake the following day. Bake at 325° for 45 minutes.
