Ingredients/Components
- pkg - 1 oz
- salt - 3/4 tsp
- water - 3 c
- margarine - 1/2 c
- grated sharp Cheddar cheese - 1/4 c
- uncooked grits - 1 c
How to make cheese grits:
Mix together salt, grits and water. Cook for 5 minutes. Add both kinds of cheese and the margarine, mixing well. While still hot, place in casserole. This much can be done a day ahead and refrigerated to bake the following day. Bake at 325° for 45 minutes.Recipe categories: Breakfast, Low cholesterol, Low fat.
